Safety comes before visibility

Our child-protection work focuses on prevention, safe behaviour, responsible reporting and referral. Where concerns arise, our role is to safeguard, document appropriately and refer—not to conduct law-enforcement investigations.

Child Protection

What this programme includes

  • Safeguarding expectations for staff and volunteers
  • Consent and privacy controls for children’s images and stories
  • Referral of serious protection concerns to appropriate services
  • Safe boundaries for visitors, donors and volunteers
Our safeguarding framework is designed to align with Uganda’s Children Act and the principle that the best interests of the child come first.
